The evolution of portable barriers
From rope to Uni-
Freestanding safety barriers are generally cumbersome to carry
And deploy compared with lightweight portable options.
Rope and Chain are portable but have to be cut to size then tied
And often disposed of or left behind.
Disposable tapes of many sizes and types are available though
None of them can be tensioned and they are very temporary.
Elastic barriers allow length adjustment but cannot be tensioned.
Retractable barriers are not quickly installed, are bulky and can
Fail and are not easy to replace or move. They cannot be tensioned.
PWG supply all types of safety barrier.
Our Award winning “Work Area Safety Pack “ (WASP)
Consists of 48mm wide wide polyester webbing, a pen and
signage contained in a bottom loading wallet that can be rolled up.
The webbing attaches to vertical poles or points and the buckles,
When closed, can slide to allow tensioning. Used by the oil industry.
The length can be adjusted to half length.
Our “Quick barrier” is the same polyester webbing with
buckles on its own or with optional top loading wallet and
accessories. The length can be adjusted by half and tensioned.
Our newest safety barrier
The “Uni-
More widely useable in all industries. This 48mm wide webbing uses
loops instead of end buckles with a choice of adaptors and includes
a sliding tensioner. Available in kits or seperately as needed.
Various adaptors engage in the loops and allow it to be secured
In many locations, joined together, wrapped around poles
And hooked to items including cones. May be fixed with screws,
Suckers, adhesive pads or tie wraps in the kit. Magnetic option.
Length can be adjusted to quarter length and tensioned.
